The visitor centre at Glencoe is developing a flourishing education programme, making use of the fantastic facilities in the education room at the Glencoe Visitor Centre. The programme aims to provide educational opportunities for casual visitors, schools, tertiary groups and life long learning. It was also envisaged that this facility be a resource for the community and is available for hire.

The room has a variety of uses including seminars incorporating a programme in partnership with Sustainable Development Research Centre; first aid courses from British Association of Ski Patrollers; footpath surveying courses; craft group meetings.  The room also features in the full and varied events programme featuring photographic exhibitions from Michael MacGregor, Doug Scott and Dave “Cubby” Cuthbertson; children’s events; storytelling workshops; craft fairs and much more!

The room can seat up to 55 as theatre style and can comfortably accommodate smaller groups for seminars and meetings.
A high resolution LCD projector for DVD, or PowerPoint presentation with large cinema screen and surround sound and PA system, slide projector.
We also have a slide projector and facilities for computer and web use.  We can provide a number of materials from equipment for children’s activities including keys, pond dipping nets and bug boxes to a modest reference library.

We can tailor a visitor for you with our rangers or Regional Education Officer or you are welcome to book the room for a self-led visit.

To make a booking email us or telephone 01855 811307.
