2010 Events
As part of our education programme, the National Trust for Scotland at Glencoe offers a full and varied events programme interpreting the natural and cultural heritage that we are lucky enough to have under our protection. From Fungal Forays to archaeology walks we have something for everyone. Our Land Rover Safaris are one of our most popular events and we have expanded these safaris to cover a number of themes, from our general estate tour looking at Geology, history, Gaelic place names and wildlife, to a massacre-themed safari visiting all of the sites involved in the infamous massacre of Glencoe. We even run a special safari just for children in the school holidays. This is a chance for children to explore Glencoe, hear about it's past and learn all about the wildlife!
Speaking of kids... during the school holidays you can join the Countryside Rangers for fun environmental and cultural games, from pond dipping to eco crafts or event parachute games!
A visit to our visitor centre can be enhanced by watching living history demonstrations, story tellers, plant weavers, musicians, craft fairs and by visiting our photographic and art exhibitions. For ideas of what else is on in the area visit www.clachaig.com
