Whats on this Month
As part of our education programme, the National Trust for Scotland at Glencoe offers a full and varied events programme interpreting the natural and cultural heritage that we are lucky enough to have under our protection. From Fungal Forays to Bat walks we have something for everyone. Our Land Rover Safaris have been a popular addition to the events programme and we have expanded these safaris to cover a number of themes, from our general estate tour looking at Geology, history, Gaelic place names and wildlife, to a massacre-themed safari visiting all of the sites involved in the infamous massacre of Glencoe. From wildlife safaris leaving at dusk to Childrens Landrover safaris visiting some of the Harry Potter filming sites, a very popular event with the kids!
Speaking of kids…every week day during the school holidays you can join the Countryside Rangers for fun environmental and cultural games, from Orien-tee-ing finding your way around our tree trail, to Nature Detectives, an outoor scavenger hunt.
A visit to our visitor centre can be enhanced by watching living history demonstrations, story tellers, plant weavers, musicians, craft fairs and by visiting our photographic and art exhibitions. For ideas of what else is on in the area visit www.clachaig.com
