Buachaille Etive Mor

Buachaille Etive Mor (The Great Herdsman of Etive) forms the western wall of Glen Etive.
The Classic peak of Stob Dearg is possibly the most photographed mountain in all of Scotland. It rises majestically in front of you as you drive westward over Rannoch Moor.
The regular Munro bagging route would be from Altnafeadh on the A82 (NN221561), up Coire na Tulaich, then turn NE along the ridge to the summit of Stob Dearg (1022m).
From there turn back retrace your steps to the top of Coire na Tulaich then continue SW to Stob na Broige (956m).
From there most descend W via Coire Altruim into Lairig Gartain, then NE back to Alt Na Feadh.

Climbers only think of Coire Na Tulaich as a descent. The real routes up these guys are via Curved Ridge, Crowberry Tower and the others on the North East face of Stob Dearg.
